It was the field's fault!

Sure, the Patriots didn't look great in Thursday night's opener. Naturally, they're not blaming the field for their loss, but they are replacing it. That's enough reason for me to call shenanigans and blame the loss on field turf (any excuse is a good excuse).

According to the Boston Herald, the field at Gillette Stadium was being ripped up and dug up on Monday. Apparently new turf was brought in back in May, but it was too soft. The report says it takes two weeks for the field to harden up, so this was "planned."

If you ask me the G.O.A.T. didn't like the field, so there was no other choice but to rip it up!
