City Councilor Josh Zakim, who sponsored the ordinance, told the Boston Herald that the rule will help "restore the parking balance" to neighborhoods around the ballpark.

The increased fines apply to two hours before game time and two hours after the game ends.

So this season make sure you either take the T in or have plenty of time to park, cause the games are expensive enough without adding $100 to the day with a parking ticket!
