The California company says they have discovered that a plastic cover which typically goes over their lightweight pacifier's clip can fall off and become a choking hazard for the infant.

There have been ten reports of this already happening to customers in Canada and the U.S.

The recall is on several designs of the Munchkin Latch pacifiers from 0+ months to 6+ months.

No injuries have been reported from the detached clips, but consumers with these pacifiers are advised to immediately take them away from the child and contact Munchkin for a full refund or a replacement pacifier.

The affected pacifiers were sold at Wal-Mart, Target, Babies R Us as well as online at Amazon.com and other similar sites from March 2014 through March 2016 and selling for between $11 and $15.

The company can be contacted toll-free at 877-242-3134 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday or online at munchkin.com.
