There is nothing quite like eating a good old classic Oreo. It doesn't matter if you are a twister or a dunker, Oreos are a treat that can instantly transport you back to childhood.

But Oreo doesn't just want to be a children's snack anymore, and they are introducing a "sophisticated" new cookie in hopes of appealing to an older audience. Oreos are introducing its newest "Oreo Thins." This snack will have a similar cream-to-cookie ratio, but it will be much thinner than it's classic counterpart.

Oreo Thins will be 140 calories for 4 cookies instead of the 160 calories for 3 classic Oreos. Though the thin design means less calories, Oreos insist that this isn't a diet food, just a more sophisticated one.

To keep up with the Oreo Thins classier image, the cookies aren't made to dunk or twist. Over one half of Oreo consumers prefer to twist their cookies though, so this could be a recipe for disaster for Oreo.

Oreo has already declined during the first 3 months of the year, so hopefully the cookie will be received well when it hits supermarket shelves on July 13.

As for me though, I'm going to stick to the old fashioned twisting and dunking of a classic Oreo.
