Wal-Mart ways it was a technical glitch that caused computers monitors, treadmills and other items to priced outrageously low or high.   A 24-inch high definition monitor was listed for $8.85 on their website for a while Wednesday morning.  

As customers shared those crazy prices on place like Twitter, they sold out in a matter of minutes.   Wal-Mart says its website was not hacked, but there was a technical issue that caused the problem.  The company is now scanning million of items to check for other problems.

The country's largest retail chain has double it's online inventory for this year's holiday season.  The number of items available at walmart.com is now at about 5 million.
