Brennan Srisirikul is thrilled to be returning to the Courthouse stage in his one man show, “In My Own Little Corner”, which chronicles his journey as a disabled man.

Courthouse Center for the Arts regulars may recognize singer and actor Brennan Srisirikul from the acclaimed 2012 staging of Maury Yeston’s Titanic and his many appearances with the vocal studio of Fred Scheff.  He is now debuting his one man show "In My Own Little Corner". The afternoon will include stories of the twists, turns, and triumphs of living life on wheels.

“In My Own Little Corner” will feature songs from the musical theatre and pop music canon with musical direction by Lila Kane.

"Growing up I craved connection in the worst way - for someone to see I was more then my wheelchair. For people to see I was capable of so much more than what my disability dictated. That's true for my community of differently abled people at large. We are able to do so much more than people think. I think that comes from the actual work disable, which means 'not able'. I spent so many years dissing my own ability without even realizing it for that reason. Now I choose to say ‘differently-abled’, a term coined by a friend.  I like to say, 'Just because I sit, doesn't mean I can't slay'. People often view my wheelchair and Cerebral Palsy as a hindrance.  I strongly believe, the thing you think hinders you, is your greatest asset. At its core, "In My Own Little Corner" is about my journey leaning to stand on my own two feet - all while sitting down".
