Some good news for Old Rochester Regional High School.  The school's athletic program is receiving national recognition from USA Today.  The national news source is conducting a contest to find America's Best Athletic Program.  ORR was informed over the weekend that the school has placed Top 2 in the state.  Lowell Catholic was the other school that was nominated in Massachusetts.

USA Today sent this message:

We are reaching out today to let you know your school made it to the Group Round of the "America's Best Athletic Program Contest". Your school finished in the top two of your state in the State Round of voting. There are only two rounds of voting remaining for a chance to win $2,500 for your athletic department.

The Group Round begins Monday, May 16 at Noon ET. We encourage everyone to show support and vote! Below is the link to the contest landing page which has more info on contest.

The school qualified by winning the MIAA Division 3 State Basketball Championship last year.
