Official Trailer for Stephen King’s ‘The Dark Tower’ Drops [VIDEO]

There are other worlds than these, and we are finally getting our first look at them.

Sony Pictures has released the official trailer for Stephen King's "The Dark Tower," starring Idris Elba as Roland, the last gunslinger, and Matthew McConaughey as The Man in Black.

The film follows Roland's quest to save The Dark Tower from destruction, which would ripple across the universe and destroy our world as well as that of the gunslinger.

The film is based on King's best-selling book series that weaves its themes and elements into just about every other book the prolific writer has ever written.

"The Dark Tower" hits theaters on August 4.
