Some are calling this Nor'easter 'Winter Storm Athena', while others are just calling it ugly. Many areas were hit with record snow fall for this time of year. Around the Southcoast we saw no snow, but high winds has power out in many areas surrounding New Bedford. We didn't feel the 'winter' part of the storm, but in Western Massachusetts, and near Boston they did.

Snow totals from some of our surrounding areas:

  • Worcester: 2-4"
  • Nofolk/Western Bristol County: 4-8"
  • Foxboro: 5"
  • Boston: 2-4"

The Sandy affected areas along New York and New Jersey also saw a lot of snow fall from this Nor'easter. Central Park in New York City is reporting 4.7" of snow this morning. Newark, New Jersey saw 2" and Bridgeport, Connecticut has 3.5" on the ground.

Maine is still feeling the brunt of the Nor'easter, and could see snow fall through Thursday afternoon. Current snow totals in Maine.
