You heard it right. No more bacon! According to an industry trade group, due to drought conditions that decimated the corn and soybean crops this year will bring a world shortage of pork and bacon next year, and it's unavoidable.

This means when you go for your daily or weekly breakfast run, when you ask for "bacon and eggs," you'll just be handed a plate of eggs. Maybe they were trying to tell us something when turkey bacon hit the scene. Just like someone tells you to search for other alternatives for gas or oil, the same goes for one of America's greatest breakfast past times, bacon.

On twitter, the chaos couldn't be hidden from the public.

Some users reacted to the news in hysterics, calling it an "aporkalypse." Perhaps not using the meat product as currency, websites and forms of medication would be a good place to start the conservation effort.

So start stocking up on your bacon now, because you'll never know if that's the last time you'll see it. Thank goodness I'm a ham person. Wait a minute! That's a pork product too! Is that next to go? Aaaahh!
