The owner of the popular South End New Bedford restaurant blames the city's Licensing Board for his establishment not being able to serve alcohol.

Jeffrey Dolinsky says he was misinformed about the deadline for applying for renewal of his liquor license.   Because of that, Davy's Locker has not been able to serve drinks since January 1st.   As for the future, the license application for the restaurant has been sent to the state Alcoholic Beverages Control Commission for review.

Once that is complete, the license is sent back to the New Bedford Licensing Board to be given to the owner of the restaurant.  When that happens, Davy's Locker can then sell drinks again.
