New York Woman Accused of a Scam That Ripped Off Newtown, CT Victims

These things always come to light after a tragedy. People trying to take advantage of someone's misfortune. But to me, this seems like the worst.

A New York woman is accused of accepting money from people wanting to donate to the Newtown victims. She set up an account and solicited donations and said the funds were going to be used for a "Funeral Fund", then of course kept the money for herself. How desperate can you be to take advantage of anyone like that, especially with an event as sensitive as that.

On a side note, the people of Newtown are actually asking that people STOP sending gifts. Acoording to the article, they are VERY thankful, but overwhelmed at this point in time.
