A mysterious boom was heard all around West Warwick over the weekend and now many theories have emerged about the strange noise.

According to Turnto10, Susan Clifford who heard the noise, said it sounded like, "two cars colliding really fast, like 100 mph" around 8:00 p.m. Others have also described it as, "deep, what felt like an underground boom" but so far there has been no official cause. Many thought it was caused by a local earthquake but the U.S Geological Survey has stated that there was no seismic activity going on during that time.

What is strange about this activity is that it has happened twice before, both times in December. And it's not just Warwick! Other places around the country have also heard a boom like noise such as Alabama, Georgia, Texas and Arizona.

Many people on the internet are tying the sounds to the shifting of the north and south poles but majority of the speculations are rebuked by scientists since much of what's put on the Internet isn't based on real science.

Whatever the cause is, it's a pretty weird incident overall. I'm guessing aliens. It just makes so much sense! Whenever something like this doesn't match up, it has to be aliens planning some crazy invasion. What do you guys think it was?
