New Restaurant Heading to Downtown New Bedford

Mary's Mini Hot Dogs & Steamed Cheeseburgers will soon have a new home in downtown New Bedford. 

Mary's will open up its doors at 288 Union Street, the former location of Fortuna Grill, during the first week of February, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.

The current location at 2112 Acushnet Avenue will be closing January 30.

The new location will continue to be bring your own beer (BYOB), but will offer "nice wine glasses for your wine and frosted mugs for your beer."

Latte and espresso will also be offered, along with hundreds of hot dog and steamed hamburger combinations.

Owner Mary Hocking has only been operating the business for a little over a year, but has donated food and money to many charities and organizations throughout the city.
