New restaurants and stores could be popping up in Swansea soon.

According to the Standard Times, the former R.B. Negus Lumber on Wilbur Ave in Swansea has been sold to Cornerstone Design/Build, a company that constructs new restaurants and stores.

And though the president of Cornerstone tells the newspaper he doesn't have any set plans for the property yet, it does have a lot of potential.

The former lumber yard is on 1.2 acres of land and already has a 2,500-square-foot store and an 8,000-square-foot warehouse.

Cornerstone works for national companies often building restaurants for Panera Bread, Chipotle and Not Your Average Joe's.

No word on what stores and restaurants might be coming to the new Swansea property, but the new owners say they will be doing something.
