So You Think You Can Dance is coming back to FOX this summer with some new judges and a slightly new format.

SYTYCD has been one of my favorite shows for years. The dancers are always amazing, the choreographers give them fantastic routines and it's just nice to watch some serious talent. And with season 12 on its way, producer Nigel Lythgoe says they'll be mixing things up both on stage and at the judges table.

Joining him in judging this year's crop of talent will be a couple of dance stars in their own right, Jason Derulo and Paula Abdul.

Derulo was a guest judge on the series last summer and had some great advice for the contestants, but you gotta think Abdul is the big score here. Her history as a choreographer and singer plus her years at the judges table on American Idol makes her more than ready for this new gig.

And along with the new judges are some format changes too. After years of narrowing down a Top 20 to "American's Favorite Dancer," this year the show is going to pit stage dancers against street dancers.

If you happen to be a dancer and want to get in on the show this season, audition dates were announced today too! Look for SYTYCD open casting calls to start in New York City this Saturday and wrap up March 15th in LA.
