I've heard of tolls and a toll booth in which you would throw a dime in to pass over a bridge. It's not a new idea. However, this new idea coming out of the state of Rhode Island has me baffled.  It will cost a dime to drive over the Sakonnet River Bridge soon and motorists without E-Z Pass transponders will have to using on the honor system. What? really? I can tell you, I'll be the first to forget to pay it.

According to WCVB, The bridge connecting Tiverton and Portsmouth R.I will have a toll starting Monday. Motorists with E-ZPass transponders will pay automatically when driving over the bridge. Here's the kicker though, Cameras will record the license plates of the other vehicles that don't, and the Rhode Island Turnpike and Bridge Authority will not send bills.

Motorists are expected to submit the payments themselves, and guess what happens when your late? Yep, those dreaded late charges. A clever way to make extra money from people out of state. Your move, Massachusetts.
