New Hampshire Farmer Feeds Turkeys Beer For Better Flavor And Size

Why not get them drunk before..well you know? They end up on my table with all the fixing's! It's the American way! One New Hampshire man does just that! Joe Morette says his turkeys will drink just about anything.

According to The Huffington Post, Morette, has been raising about 50 Thanksgiving turkeys this year and has been giving his birds beer since 1993, when he and his workers popped had a few beers after work on a hot July day. A turkey knocked one over and started drinking it! They loved it!

Now the holiday foul sips the suds all the time. He swears that the beer makes birds fatter, more flavorful and juicier. "Turkeys don't seem to be the brightest, so they could stumble around and you wouldn't know if they drank too much or not," explains the turkey farmer! I really now feel I have to try it! Drunken Turkey! No word on what kind of beer the bird prefer. PBR, Old English? I wonder if they drink 40's?
