Leaving a concert at the Xfinity Center next summer could get a whole lot easier.

Lawyers for the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA told town selectmen this week that the concert venue in planning a new exit-only outlet to the venue that will help ease traffic at the end of a show.

According to the Sun Chronicle, the plan is to use property next to the concert venue to build a gated exit that will take drivers through the back of property and out onto South Main St.

Selectman have approved the plan, saying it boosts safety at the venue and allows for quicker exits in case of an emergency.

The 2018 concert season will get underway at Xfinity Center in May.
