Dunkin’ Donuts customers your dreams may have finally come true. The doughnut chain acknowledged Monday that it is exploring the possibility of delivery services that would be  implemented through a Dunkin’ Donuts app.

The application, which is still in development, originally would allow customers to order and purchase coffee and food on a smart device then pick it up at the store. The company said that the possibility of delivery services could be included on the app.

According to The Boston Globe, Dunkin’ hasn’t provided many details about the service yet and has not yet tested how the system would work.

Chief executive of Dunkin’ Brands Group, Nigel Travis, called delivery a “big opportunity” in an interview with CNBC.

It appears like the popular doughnut chain is following in the footsteps of its competitors, Starbucks Corp. and McDonald's Corp., who are also exploring the possibility of delivery services.
