Bob, a two year old German Shepard, is joining the sheriff's department after graduating canine school.

According to Southcoast Today, his handler, 34-year-old Joao Santos says "He's a perfect dog. The best dog you can ever have [but] when he's on the job, you can tell he's on the job."

Bob nd Santos graduated from a sixteen week training this past Friday and are now part of the team of canines in Bristol County.

The dog has been trained in agility, tracking, obedience, crowd control and building searches and in a year, Bob will undergo 8 to 10 weeks of more specialized training to become an expert in sniffing out drugs hidden in school lockers and prison cells.
