New Bedford Woman Plays Wheel Of Fortune Tonight

Carey Silveria, a 2001 graduate of New Bedford High School, will be playing "Wheel of Fortune" tonight at 7 p.m. on WPRI 12. Silveria is a photographer for Lifetouch. She attended open auditions at the Warwick Mall back in October and was selected to appear on the show. The episode was taped weeks ago.

Silveria told us this morning that Pat Sajak is "really, really nice" but with all of the tanning he appears to be made of clay in person and that Vanna White is beautiful even without makeup.

She will be watching at the 6th Bristol on Ashley Blvd. tonight and she invites all of you who wish to cheer her on to stop by.

This is the second time so far this year that a local resident has appeared on a television game show. If you remember earlier this year, a New Bedford man became a Jeopardy champion. Andrew Nelson appeared back on January 7th.
