New Bedford Woman In Bar Brawl

Just when you thought you haven’t heard about a girl fight in a bar in a while.

The Standard Times reports that 30-year old Amanda Costa from New Bedford assaulted an employee at Papa Jakes on Sandwich Road in Falmouth over the weekend.

Police say Costa struck an employee in the face with an aluminum Twisted Tea Bucket that caused the employee’s nose to bleed.

Officers say Costa gave conflicting stories about what happened and was swearing at them. She was arrested and pleaded not guilty to assault charges.
