NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford woman is arrested after allegedly hitting a parked car while drunk and then resisting arrest.

New Bedford Police responded to 65 Tarkiln Hill Road at around 12:30 a.m. Easter Sunday for a report of a vehicle that had struck a parked car and then driven off.

Police located the suspect vehicle at Tarkiln Hill Road and Conduit Street, and were able to determine that the driver, Susan Conde, 42, of 90 Riverside Avenue, Apt. 116, New Bedford, was under the influence of alcohol.

According to police, Conde resisted several attempts by officers to place her under arrest.

Conde is charged with operating under the influence of liquor, possession of an open container of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident, and resisting arrest.
