Motivated juniors and seniors from the New Bedford high schools have the opportunity to be hired for the New Bedford Whaling Museum's High School apprentice program.    The program beings in October and runs through May, and there's the possibility of being hired back for the summer.

Students will gain professional skills, participate in hands-on projects and create programming for museum audiences.   They will also learn about local history and the museum operations.

This is a paid program and is geared for students who are receiving free or reduced lunch at school.  The deadline to apply is Wednesday, September 25th.
