A 15-year-old New Bedford boy is dead and two other males are suffering from injuries after a stabbing in the city this evening.

The Bristol County District Attorney's Office says at around 6:22pm New Bedford Police were called to the area of Middle and Chancery streets for a reported stabbing incident involving three victims. One of the victims, a 15-year-old male, has been pronounced dead. The other two victims a 16-year-old and a 22-year-old male, both from New Bedford, are being treated at area hospitals for non-life threatening injuries.

Police tell WBSM News immediately after he was stabbed, the 15-year-old male mase his way to his home on Emerson Street where he collapsed on the porch and died. Poloce say if he remained at the scene he may have survived. His identity has not been released, pending notification of next of kin.

No one has been charged in connection with the homicide at this time.

New Bedford Police, Massachusetts State Police Detectives with the D.A.'s Office, and Homicide Unit prosecutors are investigating the homicide.
