New Bedford's Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Pia Durkin, responded to last night's ABC 6 News report about teachers being assaulted in New Bedford High School. Dr. Durkin called the report "irresponsible" and disagreed with the report that said 23 teachers were assaulted at the school last year...and said that "4 or 5" teachers had been hurt this year trying to break up fights.
