After his credit and debit cards were denied while trying to buy cigarettes, a man decided to steal cash from the store.  The robbery happened Sunday afternoon at Charlie's Convenience Store on Hemlock Street in New Bedford.

Police say the robber was in his 20s, about 5-feet-7-inches tall, and had a pony tail and a baseball cap.  After both his credit and debit cards were denied, the man walked around the county a took cash from the clerk.  The man was last seen running east on Sidney Street in the direction of Bolton.
