Police say the individual, whose name is not being released, publicly claimed responsibility for Monday night's explosion. The person at first claimed he used dynamite, but later admitted he had stuffed M-80s into a teddy bear before igniting them.

In comments on Facebook, the individual had offered to ignite the M-80s once again at a specific time and location in the North End. The person even offered to illegally sell some of the Class C explosives to a friend.

Police say no charges are being brought up against the individual, but the person was advised to keep away from explosives in the future.

Fireworks of any kind are illegal in Massachusetts.
