New Bedford Police: Man on Bicycle Steals Woman’s Purse

NEW BEDFORD — Police are investigating after a woman reports being robbed of her purse.

The victim reported the incident to police, saying that she was walking in the area of Potomska and South Second Streets at about 9:30 p.m. on Monday when a man on a bicycle rode by and grabbed her purse.

The victim was not able to provide a description of the suspect to police.

The incident is under investigation.
