New Bedford Police Confirm Bank Robbery in Far North End

NEW BEDFORD — New Bedford Police have confirmed to WBSM News that another Santander Bank branch in the city has been robbed.

According to a police spokeswoman, the Santander Bank located at 1230 Braley Road was robbed Wednesday afternoon at about 12:55 p.m.

Police would not release any more details about the robbery at this time.

It's the second robbery of a Santander bank in the past week. The branch at 1238 Kempton Street was robbed Friday afternoon, the second time that branch has been hit this year following a previous robbery at that location in August.

The branch at 909 Ashley Boulevard was robbed back in September.
