A New Bedford woman has been charged with operating a vehicle under the influence of drugs after hitting a parked car.

New Bedford Police say 21-year-old Kayla Fournier of Shaw Street struck the parked car after 7pm Monday evening outside of 287 North Front Street.

Fournier was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation and was charged with operating under the influence of drugs. An immediate threat of license revocation was submitted to the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

It's the third time in two days New Bedford Police have charged somebody with driving under the influence of drugs.
