NEW BEDFORD - New Bedford Police have broken up a cocaine operation in the South End. Members of the New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit carried out a search warrant Saturday afternoon at an apartment at 22 Ashley Street, uncovering 56.8 grams of cocaine, packaging materials, a digital scale, and $4,800 in cash.

Arrested and charged were:

  • Reginald Sajous, 41, of 22 Ashley Street, Apt. 3
    • Trafficking cocaine
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws ( 2 counts)
    • Possession with intent to distribute subsequent offense (4/1996)
  • Jeffrey Jules Moline, 36, of 22 Ashley Street, Apt. 3
    • Trafficking cocaine
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws (2 counts)
    • Unlicensed operator
  • William Arroyo, 35, of 21 Ashley Street, Apt. 2
    • Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
    • Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Moline faces a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle since he was seen by police driving his car prior to the execution of the search warrant and was found to be unlicensed.

All three defendants are being arraigned Monday in New Bedford Third District Court.
