New Bedford Man Revived After Overdosing in His Car

NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man who had apparently overdosed in his car now faces charges.

Police were called to the intersection of Hadley Street and Acushnet Avenue before 10 P.M. Wednesday for a report of a man possibly overdosing in a vehicle.

First responders administered a dose of Narcan and transported the man to St. Luke's Hospital for evaluation.

Police have charged the man, 25-year-old Joseph Martins of New Bedford, with operating under the influence of drugs and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
