New Bedford Man Flees Police, Caught with Crack Cocaine

NEW BEDFORD - A New Bedford man is arrested after he's found with over 20 bags of crack cocaine in his possession.

New Bedford Police were carrying out a warrant in a North Front Street apartment shortly after 10 p.m. Wednesday when they encountered 18-year-old Luis Santos. Santos was not the subject of the warrant, but fled from police anyway. He was soon caught and found with 21 bags of crack and $175 in cash.

Santos was charged with possession of crack cocaine with intent to distribute.
