New Bedford, Lakeville Men Among Missing Boaters

Three missing boaters appear to have local ties.

The Coast Guard is currently searching for the three men, after they embarked on a sea excursion and failed to return home as scheduled on Tuesday.

The Coast Guard is searching for any signs of Carlos Amaral, Dylan Amaral, and Mario Fialho and the vessel, the 23-foot "Dad Sea Cave." according to their Facebook profiles, Dylan Amaral is from New Bedford, and Fialho is a Lakeville resident. Carlos Amaral also appears to be a local resident.

The three men began their trip from a port in Sandwich.

The Coast Guard has been using air patrols between Sandwich and Provincetown this week to search for the men.
