A man with a T-shirt over his head, with 2 holes cut out for the eyes, held up the J&L Market on Maxfield Street in New Bedford on Tuesday.   He walked into the store at about 10:30 a.m. holding a kitchen knife, and told the clerk to had over the cash.

After he was given the money, the robber was last seen running through yards toward cedar Street.   Police found the knife and T-shirt in one of those yards.

The man is described as being thin, light-skinned, and between 5-foot-7 and 5-foot-9.   He is said to have long hair and was wearing black pants with tan boots.   Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Michael Carrier at 508-991-6300, extension 114.
