A masked, armed robber who held up Costa's Cash Express on County Street in New Bedford yesterday was caught last night.  28-year-old Terrence Smallcomb, who lives on County Street not far from the mini-mart was tracked down and arrested last night.

Police charged Smallcomb with armed and masked robbery, and confining or putting a person in fear.   Smallcomb is accused of walking into Costa's wearing a mask and gloves, jumping over the counter and threatening the clerk with a large knife.   They say he took an cash from the counter and left the store.

New Bedford cops got enough information to track Smallcomb to his apartment on County street where they report finding a mask, gloves and a large knife.   he was put under arrest and the money was returned to the store.
