New Barrett’s Alehouse Coming to West Bridgewater

The Charlie Horse in West Bridgewater closed this summer but the lot will soon have something there again.

A Barrett's Alehouse will be opening at the Charlie Horse location in West Bridgewater.

According to Enterprise News, the Charlie Horse closed at the beginning of August when the co-owner Mary Barret-Costello cited declining business. Her brother, Mike Barrett, bought the lot to move in his own business.

Renovations will begin before Barrett's Alehouse opens and another door will be added to the building. The bowling alley is being replaced by a large function room that can fit up to 152 people. The dance floor will also be relocated and the stage where musicians would play at Charlie Horse is being removed. The main bar will also be bigger.
