UPDATE 5:20PM:

At least 30 people are reported to have been killed in a series of attacks in Paris, France.

A shooting was reported at a restaurant and there were at least two blasts at other locations.

There's also word of a hostage situation at a concert hall where an American band was playing. That band is the Eagles of Death Metal out of Palm Desert, California.

Reports out of France indicate more than a dozen people may have been killed in an attack on a restaurant in Paris.

BFM-TV is putting the death toll at 18.

The AFP press agency is reporting that dozens of hostages have been taken at a concert hall.

Explosions were heard near a stadium where France's president was attending a soccer match. A French official says President Francois Hollande has moved to another location to deal with the situation.
