My Son John Can Write His Name Now

Listen. I have seen all of your pictures and parent moments on Facebook, twitter, and all other social media outlets, so when it happens in my life, you're going to hear about it. I'm a proud Dad. My son John loves to draw and color like any 2 year old would, but yesterday he surprised us.

My wife got him a pumpkin while we were in Vermont, and she started to decorate it with a marker, writing his name on it, and he grabbed the marker and wrote his name as well. No squiggles, just his name clearly. So we grabbed a piece of paper and sure enough, he wrote it again.

It's the little things like this that make you glad that you're a parent. Seeing your kids grow up, learning different things, and seeing their little personality stand out is just amazing.
