There's nothing like an epic love story live on stage and Miss Saigon brings you just that this weekend at the Providence Performing Arts Center.

It has been years since I've seen Miss Saigon live on stage and seeing it as a high schooler is nothing like seeing it as an adult.

The stage, the sets, the singing...it all makes for a magical night at the theater.

Miss Saigon has actually had a fairly long run in Rhode Island, but this is the last weekend to catch it at PPAC with three more shows, Saturday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.

The play at it's heart is a love story, where a Vietnamese woman and an American G.I. fall in love during the war but are torn apart by the fall of Saigon.

Through a number of epic musical numbers and a cast of over 40 singers and dancers, they try to find their way back to each other in one of the most amazing live shows I have ever seen.

The sets are truly the most amazing part of this play for me. I mean, at one point there is even a helicopter on stage!

And considering the musical is one of the longest running Broadway shows out there, you know it has been amazing audiences over and over again.

Let it amaze you this weekend at the Providence Performing Arts Center before the run is over.

There are three more chances to catch this beautiful play, plus a WaterFire event in Providence this Saturday starting at 5 p.m.

So enjoy this fall weekend in the city with some fantastic entertainment at PPAC and beyond.
