The Puerto Rican and Latin American Art and Culture Committee of New Bedford is looking for young Latino men and women to participate in the Mr. and Miss Latino/a King and Queen Pageant New Bedford, 2014. Candidates for the pageant must reside in the Greater New Bedford and have at least one parent or grandparent of Hispanic decent. The pageant was created to help promote self-confidence, intellect, and cultural pride.

The Puerto Rican and Latin American Art and Culture Committee works to create after-school programs to help keep our youth off the streets. Their programs enhance communication skills in both English and Spanish. They also work to promote knowledge and pride of their culture as well as the City of New Bedford.

Auditions will take place from April 2 through April 4 from 5 p.m until 8 p.m. at the Hayden McFadden School located at 361 Cedar Grove Street, New Bedford. Participants must be at least 2 years old.
