Spring and summertime is movie time for kids and families.  Here are some movies you can catch on the Southcoast for $1 (or even less!)

Regal Cinemas will be having $1 movies all summer long including movies like Trolls and Sing.

Summer is finally approaching and what better way to start it than with $1 movies. Depending on locations, the Regal Summer Movie Express will either start June 6 or June 14 according to Suburban Mom.

Select PG and G rated movies will be shown at 10 a.m. for just $1 for 9 weeks. Most of the proceeds will benefit the Will Rodgers Institute.

Here is the schedule of movies to be played:

  • Week 1: Kung Fu Panda 3, Ice Age: Collision Course
  • Week 2: Trolls, Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked
  • Week 3: Monster Trucks, Penguins of Madagascar
  • Week 4: Rio 2, Boxtrolls
  • Week 5: The Secret Life of Pets, Sing
  • Week 6: Kubo and the Two Strings, Ratchet and Clank
  • Week 7: The Spongebob Square Pants Movie: Sponge Out of Water, The Adventures of Tin Tin
  • Week 8: Happy Feet 2, Cats & Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore
  • Week 9: Storks, The Lego Batman Movie

Not only is Regal doing something special for the summer time, but Wareham's Flagships is also doing a little something during the month of May. They will be offering free movies on the following dates:

  • May 2nd: Apollo 13
  • May 9: North to Alaska
  • May 16: Silver Streak
