Big news coming out of the Boston Globe, today. It seems the city of Boston and Mohegan Sun have made a new deal.In a report, yesterday, the Globe announced that Mayor Martin J. Walsh and Mohegan Sun have agreed on a deal, that will see the city get paid to offset the effects of its Revere Casino at Suffolk Downs.

The deal may cause some controversy, however, as it will not give the residents of East Boston the opportunity to vote on the casino project. While the official dollar figure is still unknown, it has been determined that Mayor Walsh will back off of his stance to have the project voted on by East Boston residents, as a "host community," as he had previously planned.

It will definitely be interesting to check out the full details of the the deal, once they are finally revealed to the public.
