Michael Rock Rant: Iceberg Lettuce

Today's rant against restaurants that serve salads with iceberg lettuce.

My family and I went out to eat last, and I ordered a side salad. The salad had everything you might expect: cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, and shredded carrots. But all of these things were laying on a bowl full of iceberg lettuce. Come on, now! Hook a brother up with some Romaine, or SOMETHING green. Now, I understand there are some Cobb salad fans out there. I'm not here to take a stand against Cobb salads. I'm talking about a standard salad with wimpy iceberg lettuce.

Look, I'm just speaking up for those that can't. If you agree...share this with a local restaurant that still serves iceberg lettuce for their salads. Better yet, point out the positive and share it with a Southcoast restaurant that serves mixed greens in their salad.
