Michael Douglas Says He Lied About His Cancer

Michael Douglas said he was not telling the whole truth when he announced in August 2010 that he had stage IV throat cancer.  The 69-year-old Douglas shocked the world when he revealed his cancer.  

Now, over three-years later, he made another revelation.   the actor says he actually had cancer of the tongue.  

Douglas admitted that he knowingly deceived the press and the public about his heath.  "This was right before I had a big tour for Wall Street." he told Samuel  L. Jackson on a UK talk show.   "We said there's no way we can cancel the tour and say we don't feel well."   He said his doctors warned him that he may not want to reveal that he had a disease that could cause him to lose part of your jaw and your tongue.   "The surgeon said let's just say it's throat cancer." Douglas told Jackson.
