Market Basket CEO speaks out to store managers...advises to cut worker's hours to match payroll to the current (significantly lower) store sales.

New Market Basket CEO has reached out to store directors reminding them of their duties.

According to DeMoulas, Market Basket will still ship meat, produce, perishable and grocery loads to the stores. The warehouses are expected to carry out their normal, daily routines and ensure the Market Basket quality.

Remaining employees are expected to fill and maintain shelves to the best of their abilities.

Further down in the memo he addresses that sales have reach a new low for the store so he encourages managers to schedule their staff based on the needs of their customers and their store.

We'll have to see how much longer Market Basket can stay afloat with this advice and their current conditions!
