It was a “rolling removal” so restaurants discontinued the sandwiches as they ran out of them, company spokeswoman Lisa McComb told Bloomberg.

It’s all part of an effort to simplify the company’s kitchen operations, as it faces increased competition from smaller, more focused chains like Five Guys and Chipotle Mexican Grill
