Massachusetts Students Are the Highest-Achieving in the Country

Massachusetts is awesome for so many reasons, but when a research study comes out with actual data of it, it just gives us more bragging rights.

In a report published from the Urban Institute, it has been proven that Massachusetts students perform better than all other 49 states, even when considering demographics.

This isn't the first time Massachusetts has been #1 for high-achieving students, but studies in the past have not taken demographics into consideration. Boston.com reports that this time around, the Urban Institute looked at race, family life, English proficiency, income and resources at home and still, Massachusetts came out at #1.

It's thought that the commonwealth's students are about 10-12 months ahead of their peers around the country.
